can you bypass stages of growth and exploration in your youth and keep on going or do they eventually catch up to you to have their day?

Hmmmm, I know a bunch of high chair tyrants who are well into adulthood chronilogically, but damn, if I don't think I'm talking to a little kid. I think they get stuck in the place where they missed out, and never fully develop. It's sort of like scar tissue that builds up to close in the open wound. You may be able to cover up the hole, but the mark remains. If someone disrupts the scab, it can break open again -- hence, a person can compensate for the loss, but methinks he will be reminded of that hole in his world for a very, very long time - perhaps to the point where he goes back and looks at his life map, and figures out where he left himself/got lost.

Yes... Growing up comes and goes in stages. YOu can skip stages and go back to them later on. Nothing is set in stone. I drank alot before I turned 21, after I turned 21 I dont drink at all! So sometimes people will explore MORE in their youth and nothing at all when they are older. ITs different for everyone.

I bypassed stages in my teens.

Then, I started working in the Emergency Room in my twenties. Learned everything I needed to know there and more.

I don't believe the catching up thing. I think different people just need to go through more or less of different kinds of exploration at different times. Some people seem to be born with certain kinds of wisdom; others (like me) seem to spend their whole life messing up and learning from their mistakes. If you end up doing a lot of your growing up later in life, I think you benefit more from the lessons you learn - but it's uglier to watch, and less tidy than if you did it in your teens.

i do believe tha is true! i think things just become prolonged. things that we r not alowed to do as kids we just end up rebelling as young adults, and older. my mother always told me i was only allowed to date white guys. well now im 26 and have a daughter by a hispanic man, and my current boyfriend is black. so pretty much thats my "**** YOU MOM", LOL. sick i know. but its how the brain works when it comes to kids n parents. i think u always live wanting to know wondering wat if i did that, man i should do that, oh **** it im gunna do it. i believe that u reach an age finally in life that u just say "i dont give a ****" any more n u do it! u stop caring bout consequences, n wat other ppl will think, u start living ur life for urself and thats it. thats when ur life will b the happiest. good luck!

Of course not. When you wait for that special one when you are grown, it makes it so much more special! Then you can be sure you are having these first time feelings with someone that really matters and appreciates you.

If you have the strong determination, you are free to make yourself to do anything and be anything. Everything is possible all you have to know is how to make it possible and work for it. Good luck.

definitely not! I am so much more open with my sexuality now. When you are comfortable with yourself, that makes all the difference in the world!
