i had dinner at someones home years ago.....and i have never forgotten the taste of their ham.....i have tried to duplicate, and have failed every time.

buy the crushed cloves along with the regluar ones, rub the ham with them and and put whole ones on and let it sit 24 hrs. Oh, just to let you know some people buy them already seasoned & cooked and play it off like they made it! A lot of yuppies do it!

Score the skin of the ham before cooking spread generously with honey and stick a clove into the skin every couple of inches in a pretty diamond pattern...bake. Sweet ham with a beautiful clove taste ..:D

honey and cloves in a food processor, inject small amounts into the ham, save some for a glaze.

my mom makes little cut pattern in the ham and places the cloves in between the cuts and puts ham glaze on it as well.
