...it's there into Control Panel just as I plug it (USB), but no scannign programs will recognise it.
This is happening after I installed my digital camera (it was working till then). I even tried to uninstall the camera and install the scanner afterwards, but it didn't work.
HELP!!!!

ages since I've done this so you might have to do a bit of work yourself..
on the scanning program it should have a setting in the first column at the top of the screen to change the Twain driver or input device - check which one it is.. it probably says its your camera.. just use the pull down menu and change it to your scanner

Your scanner is old and your software is maybe not recognised by your OS try down loading a later version from the net, it might work, my mate had a 1200USB but we could not get it to run at all.
