If it is in french:

"vrai" means true in french and "a la fin" means at the end.

What it says on your family crest is: "true at the end"

(but maybe your family is not french. you should do some reaserch about your family history before)

Vrai à la fin....
Well I would say since it appears on a family crest or coat of arms it would mean something closer to: True to the End, or even Faithful to the End
What other Items are on the crest? Are there lions and dogs? Or deer? That would also give a clue to the correct translation... maybe a fleur-de-lys....?

It is french and it does literally translate to 'true at the end' but it probably doesn't actually mean this, as is often the case literal translations aren't always accurate

well the whole translation means true at the end but it might mean true 'till the end. like be true till the last minute kind of thing

It's French and means "true to the end".
It reminds me of our Marine motto, "semper fidelis".

i would go with Zip interpretation on that one, but i think it could also mean "Honest to the end"
