How do you cook it.

I got picked to bring the ham for Thanksgiving this year and i want it to be really good. Please help.

Whole picnic ham is better. Just bake it @350 for 15 minutes for every pound. The preformed ham has lots more water added and doesnt taste as good.

I'd go for the picnic ham, definitely. It has a better presentation. A preformed one looks cheesy and cheap. All you have to do with either is put a glaze on it and heat it up!

Buy a whole fresh one.

If you really want to impress, prepare it yourself.

Soak it overnight in cider, then boil it in the cider for 30 mins (assuming it is a decent size), let it cool then smother it with honey, wrap in foil and roast it.

Your problem then will be to stop everyone wanting the outside slices!!

whole ham (smoked) Don't get precooked cook it in a bag cooking in a bag shortens the cooking time and it is moist
