I'm confused. When someone dies, everyone says, I know they're going to a better place. But when reading the bible I understood it to say that no person will enter heaven until they are judged on judgement day, and judgement day won't be until the rapture. Am I mixed up, or do people just tell the mourning that about going to a better place to make them feel better? If those that have died aren't in Heaven, where are they? Would this explain ghosts and such? Please be kind, I'm kinda new to religion. I'm just curious about other's thoughts on this.

To start with if you don't divide your Bible and know who it is talking to then you will stay confused. 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Before the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross there was nobody that when into heaven but stayed in paradise which was in the center of the earth. When Jesus arose all those in paradise also arose and went into heaven. Today if we have trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins when we die our soul returns to God who gave it. If we reject what He did for us then we send our self to hell. 2 Corinthians 5: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

No we sleep in our graves until Jesus comes back, some will rise to everlasting life and other to damnation. John 5:28 reads, Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the grave shall hear his voice. Now in Hebrews 11:39-40, it talks about how everyone of those who has had great faith, and died for God, yet have not enter into heaven, the kingdom, the promise, why; because we shall all go together. 1 Thessalonians 4:13:17, tells all...not wanting us to be ignorant concerning them which as sleep (dead/in graves). The good shall rise first (from the graves), then those which are live will rise all to meet Jesus in the cloud. After Jesus comes back the saints go no farther than the cloud, which is the same way Christ left. Because the Heavenly Kingdom will be right here on earth, once God destroys all of the evil. Revelation 21:1-3..We will live in a new heaven and new earth. And if you read 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. ...for we all shall not sleep, but shall be changed in a twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet sound, and the dead shall rise incorruptible and we shall be changed. Becoming immortals....Please pray for understanding and knowledge upon studying Jehovah's word, the truth. You have to be able to tell the diff, between the spirits (study the Bible). Read 1John 4:1 (in the back if the bible, not the apostle John). He says to test the spirit, not all are of God. And in order to do this you must study you Bible, it's prepares us for the test of this world. Just like studying for a math, spelling, reading, test. You have to study inorder to past, not fail...Live with Christ and die in damnation. I love you all may God bless you all to understand and Identify with Him, Remember it's only one God, one body, we are all me members of the body of Christ, if this is you destiny, remember when Paul said that he was happy that he didn't baptize any of them except for the two that he did. Because they started tripping, just as we are today. Saying things like I am of Paul, I am of Apollos, I am of Cephas, and I am of Christ. Meaning division, I am a Baptist, I am a Pentecostal, I am Catholic, and so on. It is only one God, and we make up the Body of Christ. Sorry to keep going on and on, yet I love the word of God, love you all be bless.

Everyone believes different things. Judgement will occur, there is no doubt about that, but people who say "I know they are going to a better place" are basically saying that they knew the person was decent and God-loving. If that is not true of the person, then they are just being nice. It isn't that they believe the person gets a free pass into heaven.
Catholics believe in Pergatory. Very interesting stuff.
Mormons believe that good people are reincarnated as the God of their own Planet. (Crazy, eh?)

on paradise earth. "I have a hope toward God...... that there is going to be a resurrection of both the RIGHTEOUS and the UNRIGHT-
EOUS.(Acts.24:15) Humans were created to live on earth, and only
a certain number will have a heavenly resurrection.(Ps.37:29)"The
righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside
forever upon it." If you would like to learn the truth of the Scriptures, contact Jehovahs witnesses in your area or you can go to this website http://www.watchtower.org.

Yes, Planet Heaven is Open now and when a Child of GOD Leaves the Earth for Good, they are Transported to Heaven.
When you Believe Who Jesus Said HE was, and Ask HIM into your Heart to Save you, you Will go to Heaven when you Leave.
