they can demand all they want, truth is, they're NOT American citizens! They're NOT entitled to any of the rights that this country has to offer to it's citizens. Could we go into another country, and just because we were there, and wanted to remain there, demand our rights.
One right however is this: break our laws and land your backside in our jails.. let's enforce that one. They're already broken the law, so lets see if we can follow through on it.
Caught here illegal and find yourself heading back home, via free ride. Or demand that their country pay us back for the price it cost to return thier own.

No. Simply because they are illegal. They are planning to use your money for their healthcare, they are planning to use your national security number. What a joke.. The illegals were protesting for equal rights, but didnt they thought or coming to America first fair and square? Than they would get at least some rights.. What i think of the protests is is that it is a total joke, it makes me laugh. Why dont they just become legal immigrants instead of illegals, of course America is not giving them equal rights because the illegals dont report themselves to the government to get them! If people do grant illegal immigrants equal rights, that means there will be more illegals coming into the country.

Before we can even begin to address this issue of illegals who are in this country, we must effectively seal the borders.
After this is done, we could give the illegals 90 days to register with the INS, issue them temporary ID cards and put them on probation. Any alien with an outstanding warrant would be immediately deported. After the 90 days, any alien without an ID card would be deported.
These ID cards would be valid for five years - any alien who has not applied for his green card or US Citizenship after this period would have his ID revoked and would be subject to deportation. Any alien with a temporary ID convicted of a crime would be deported.
We must not ignore the fact that there are many immigrants in this country who have followed the laws and trudged through all of the red tape to become citizens - it would be unfair to them to grant blanket amnesty to the ones who entered the country illegally.
Unfortunately, we simply don't have the resources to track down, investigate and deport an estimated 10 million illegals. I believe my suggestions above would be a fair compromise.

No, they did nothing to EARN citizenship, I'm sorry but sneaking into a country or letting your visa expire is in no way showing respect for our laws.
As for the protests back in May, as someone else has stated it was like a slap in the face. NOT to mention when I saw our American flag put Upside down UNDER the Mexican flag!! That made me sick to my stomach. OH let's not forget about Maywood when the illegals and their supporters took down the American flag at a Post Office (government facility) and replaced it with a Mexican flag.
In any other era it would have been considered treasonous/ act of war.

we as a people have a system put in place by lawmakers we elected. there is a way for someone that comes from another nation to become a proud American citizen.
if you want to be an American we established
a fair way to citizenship.
when someone enters this nation without properly obtaining permission to visit work or stay they are breaking the law.
when they bypass the system it makes it harder for honest law abiding people to enter.
it creates distrust and an imbalance in our way of life.
by skipping across our porous boarders they
are not documented, they have no paper trail, they do not pay taxes, they use public services designed for those that play by the rules.that is stealing. by not paying taxes they
steal education.they steal food stamps, they steal health care. they are criminals from the second they cross that boarder.
so no they deserve no citizenship!
they have a right to be deported, documented as illegal aliens and punished !
they as a foreigner have no rights they can not demand anything. no penalty is good enough but deportation!

To your first question, my answer is NO WAY. As far as the protests....it was a slap in the face to all Americans and all Americans should be offended and outraged by it (and I think most are.) We have every right to be. These illegals (especially the Mexican ones) have no desire to become Americans, all they want is "their" land back so they can turn it in to a part of their precious Mexico. Their goal is to run us out, but Americans aren't gonna stand still for it! We will fight back.

I believe that all immigrants to the U.S. should be granted equal rights, but only after they meet the legal requirements. Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. If they are not willing to play by the rules at the very beginning, there is no reason to believe they will obey laws once granted citizenship.

Illegals should not be granted the rights of a citizen. If they want the rights they should go the legal way to become a citizen.

If we grant them amnesty, we are saying that breaking our laws is ok. We Americans learn at a young age, that we must respect laws, we do not always like every law, but must still respect those laws. As far as the marchs, it really seemed to open alot of eyes, we saw illegal immigrants who should not even be here, demanding rights, the waving of Mexicos flag did not help, it showed that they will never be Americans.

No.
Well elections are over - back to normal, if there is such a thing.
5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused. We are not going to grant them an extension.
However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) training at our expense, etc.
