I think it's nasty how this group wear the spandex suits on a kids show.....I mean the women at least have skirts on theirs, but the mens packages are sticking out and it bothers me that kids watch this. I don't like my girls watching this because I, myself find it repulsive and I think that they don't need to see this on a kids show.....am I over reacting?

LMAO! Ok, I didn't think that they sit there and compare packages, I don't think that they really even notice. My point I guess, is that they are aware that kids watch this, as it is on a kids station, shouldn't they be obligated to dress appropriately?

It wouldn't bother me so much but they are on treehouse tv.....this is aimed mainly at kids under 6 I think. I don't sit and dwell on it, but I will change the channel when they come on and my kids (2 and almost 4) don't know that that is why.

I can see where you're coming from on this and I have seen the show and haven't placed a censorship on the Corps. There are many other places where there are tight clothing that is worn - like on the show The Toy Castle (Also on treehouse), any children's christmas show with the male ballerinas (Dance of the sugar plum fairy) and any sports shows - like figure skating, swimming, gymnastics, wrestling, fencing, and I'm sure the list goes on....

If a parent lets a child play with a barbie and the child takes the clothes off the doll - as my own child does , takes the clothes off of everything. There are far more seemingly "offensive" things out there. Even in the publics eye, out on the streets and other places people are wearing tight clothing - swimming pools especially. It seems to be a common thing out there. I'd only be greatly concerned if the child started talking about what they saw.

I figure in childhood there is such an unknowing innocence about being a child. They are not cognizant of Adult ideas or worry about tight clothing. My daughter has seen the show and has not said anything - she just sings along to the tunes.

I'm sure that to put peace in a parents mind - one may just totally ban their child from seeing it. If you figure that you want to instill wholesome images of adults in your child's life without subjecting them to what is on the show then by all means don't let your child watch it. Set the example you want to set for your child. Go with what works for you. Somethings don't bother others and some do take some caring concern about matters.

As for feeling very strongly about this matter - there is no right or wrong way to feeling about stuff. Some people have very little reactions and other have very strong reactions to things and that is okay. It's a part of who you are. Being sensitive to things is a gift!

I dont think that is appropriate either. I have never seen or even heard of the show, but it would upset me that they dress like that too. I agree that your kids probably have no idea about the men, but you really never know! What if they one day were like: "hey mommy! whats that?" Maybe you can write to them or something. Go to their website. Thats gross! I hope it never comes on tv here! ewe!

Yes, you are over reacting. The children are probably not even giving it a second thought. They are certainly not sitting there comparing the mens' "packages."

Yes, you are overreacting. Because of your disgust, it is very likely that your girls will also have the same shame-filled attitude toward the human body. You want to avoid body image problems later on? Don't sweat the "packages". Your kids certainly don't unless you teach them to.
