First of all, this is a rather morbid and personal topic. The only acceptable time to eat Merpeople flesh is the moment after they have died, when their closest family and friends gather around in a solemn ceremony of transubstantiation that commemorates the transition into Atlantis. (This is why we never find traces of deceased Merpeople.) In such a sacred and meaningful moment, the taste of the flesh is hardly on one's mind. As you would expect, the tail corpus resembles fish, the head, arms, and upper torso are meat, and the conjoining sections around the waist and hips taste like, er, chicken.

That is just sick ,we should appreciate any Mermaids or Merman we come across and perhaps they will take us for a ride. Anyway, they would probably taste like chicken.
