I am hosting a Christmas party soon, I was wondering if anyone has any good WARM/HOT alcoholic and some non-alcoholic drink recipes. 10 points and a 5 star rating if someone can give me at least two alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks that sound good.
Thx!

Peppermint martinis are my favorite. . . .A big enough liquor store will sell the stuff that you can just mix with vodka, for the perfect flavoring. Then you can either rim the glasses with red sugar, or use little candy canes as decoration for the cups. . . .Another favorite holiday drink, would be hot butter cocoa, which is when you make a basic hot chocolate recipe (which ever is your favorite) and then mix in one shot of butterscotch schnapps and one shot dark rum. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. So good. . . .Oh, and of course, a traditional holiday favorite is eggnog! That can be served for the adults mixed with rum, or plain for the children at the party. . . .I also make a good punch that can be left without alcohol for kids, where I mix a bottle of gingerale, cranberry juice and pineapple juice. Serve it plain, and I often add a small scoop of sorbet so the kids feel like they have a "fancy" drink, plus as it melts it adds fabulous flavor! For the adults, do the same thing, but add as much vodka as you'd like for taste, and some triple sec to even out the sweetness.

Other than that, I'd stick with basics to keep on hand- soda/diet soda, water, etc.

Both of these can be made without the alcohol!
I'm making both again this year.

Hot buttered rum
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups butter
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened

DIRECTIONS:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Microwave until smooth. Mix in the ice cream. Place in a sealable container and freeze.
When ready to use, spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of the base into a mug. Pour in 1 shot of dark rum and 1 cup of hot water for each serving.

Here is a good and simple one I made last year.
Sparkling Vanilla-Cran punch
1 bottle white cranberry peach juice (ocean spray)
4 c vanilla vodka (you can add as much as you like)
about 24 oz tonic water.
Pour together and serve chilled.

I served mine in martini glasses with baby candy canes hanging off the side.

At a party, you should always have a cola and a lemon based soft drink. Many people today prefer sugar-free.

You can have two wines, a red such as a Cabenet Sauvignon for
many people, and a white or rose for those women who like to be seen drinking wine but really dont like it.

For a warm drink, gløgg is good and can be either alcoholic or nonalcoholic.

Coffe and hot chocolate are always good to have on hand.

Chocolate mint martini's, anything with Bailey's, Hot chocolate with whipped creme and Creme de Minthe over the top, White Russians. All the recipes can be found online but a Chocolate mint martini - take a martini glass pour chocolate syrup to coat the glass next pour in CHILLED vodka and a splash of clear creme de minthe, the hot chocolate 1 is self explanatory, a white russian is 1/2 ounce vodka 1/2 ounce kahluah and milk over ice stir.
