In my own experiences, yes, I believe in life after death because I have had two NDE (Near Death Experiences.) The first Near Death Experience I had was when I was 4 1/2 years old. I had just recently had a tonscilectomy and unknown to me or my mother, didn't heal. I literally bled to death down the back of my throat. By the time we realized I was bleeding down the back of my throat, a week after the opperation, I had to be rushed to the hospital. I was having convulsions and they laid me on the opperating table, rushing around to hook up the monitors on me. I heard the faint beeps of the monitors. I was too tired to be scared. I just laid there and looked up at the ceiling. I saw the dots on the ceiling tiles and just watched them. Suddenly, the beeps on the monitors faded and were gone, and a louder steady beep came. I felt the cold metal of the table under my back still there, but the table was rising up towards the ceiling. I didn't understand what was going on, but I could see the dots on the ceiling get closer and closer, then I realized that they were not dots at all, but were holes in the ceiling tiles instead of dots. I thought to myself, in a 4 1/2 yr old mind, "I'm going to hit my head on the ceiling." Suddenly I was WHOOSHED through the ceiling and was now standing on something that felt like it was solid and I could see though it like glass. I could see with a vision that was better than my Earthly vision. I could hear better too. I heard the doctors and nurses as they rushed around, and I heard someone yell out, "We're loosing her!!" I thought to myself, "Why are they saying they are loosing me? Can't they see me? I'm right there!" So somehow I knew I was still there laying on the opperating table. There was a being next to me on my right, that I could feel the love and warmth coming from him, radiating out and lightly touching me there. (I felt that I still had a body, and since I could see and hear, apparently I could. Some people say it's only because the brain has not died yet if you are in an NDE, but if that's true, why could I see down and see my body laying there and watching the doctors and nurses and not just only see upwards which is the direction that my eyes were facing on the opperating table?) Anyway, the being next to be, his love and warmth merged with me and I was at complete peace. I felt so much love, I did not want to leave. I wanted to stay right there. (I had been a shy child, but yet here, I was with someone who I was at so much peace with that I wanted to stay.) The doctors revived me and I was returned. That has been over 43 1/2 years ago and I've never fogotten it. I had another NDE when I was 25. The second NDE was not like the first at all. I was drinking and drugging at that time. I was in a place of total darkness. It was not a comfortable place, there was not peace there for me, nor did I feel the loving presence I felt during the first NDE I'd had. Yet, I did not change my ways for many years. My change came when I finally asked God for help, my life being one I no longer wanted to live with anymore. I was ready for life after this life, apparently even if it was back in that dark place, but God saw fit to help me change my life and sent people in my life to help me to do that.
Do I believe there is life after life? Yes, I do - with all my heart.
The proof? I am sure somewhere on my medical records is proof of that 4 1/2 year old child that had flat-lined, had to have blood transfusions because she had lost over 60% of her blood, and the realization that the dots in ceiling tiles were holes - not dots. Proof for some is in the pudding. When you slip from this life to the next, you'll see what I mean.

Of course there is no "scientific" proof.
As per my opinions, I really want to believe that there is life after death, its really comforting.
So here is how it is.....as there is no proof, there is no life after death. DEATH strictly speaking is a biological phenomena. Everything ends (gulp!). I know of nothing in the universe which is static. Everything has a life cycle. Starts and ends. Nothing goes forever.
I myself am terrified by the very concept of death, would love to believe if there is life after it. But rebirth isn't proven yet.
BUT, not every phenomena can be explained scientifically yet. So. . .
PS: I do not want to offend any religion. Its my personal and more scientific view. As per a religious view, its different for every religion, so I thought I;ll keep my religious view to myself.

The proof is i have been born 23 times already I have met all my soul mates who have lived with me in the past. This does not happen easily I have prayed for the last 8 years. When I say prayers I have spent 5-6 hours a day in these prayers. If you do not go to heaven then you will take rebirth. I am fortunate that I can speak to God and i need not give any proof to any one I can not If I tell you of the miracles that happen you either believe it or not

I do believe in life after death because I've heard of stories where people have seen spirits wandering around, or ghosts trying to communicate with them. Personally, I have no proof, but I do believe in it because I have seen a spirity myself.

There is life after death. But your life ends with death! Thats the end! Nothing after! Its like a flower withering away, There would be more flowers but the one that withered is lost in memory for time!

No, i do not believe in life after death. There is simply no good evidence for a positive stance on that issue.

human beings cope with their theory as actuality, many times in the mild of overwhelming info to the choice. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if a theory is actual, it relatively is going to be supported by utilising info and not contradicted by utilising them, in any different case that's no diverse than believing in Santa or different myths. As for extraterrestrial beings, actual there's no longer a foundation to declare that they are actual, in spite of the undeniable fact that, there are motives to suspect that alien existence does exist. as an occasion there are around a hundred billion galaxies, each and every with around a hundred billion stars (greater or much less). In our galaxy we've found around 5 earth-like (rock) planets so some distance with a small proportion of stars surveyed. cutting-edge findings have shown that aboigenesis is possibly and recommend that that's inevitable. at the instant we'd be finding at existence on Mars, finding on the source of the methane.

You're right there is no proof, just like there is no strong evidence that God exists. But it's something people believe in and you have to respect that, because you also have no proof it doesn't exist.

The operative word in your question is BELIEVE. If one believes there is no need for proof!
