Not only NO but Hell NO!!!!!!!
Who do these people think they are? This intellectual elite that supposedly represents we the people? This bill is a slap in the face for ALL AMERICANS. This Bill is absolutely way too complicated. Funny thing. The Intellectuals claim that simply Deporting them All is impossible. Can't be done. Instead they are trying to cram this piece of crap down our throat.
illegal aliens would be required to pay taxes for only three of the previous five years; U.S. CITIZENS or permanent residents who tried to pay ONLY three of the previous five years of taxes would be VIOLATING the LAW and subject to PROSECUTION. Illegal aliens who have been in the country for 2 to 5 years, numbering around 3 million, would be allowed to stay in the country without fear of deportation, but after 3 years would have to leave the U.S. and could apply for citizenship at border check points. Those in the country for under 2 years would be required to return to their original nations. Thus, with some waiting, 10 million illegal immigrants can become citizens, if they so desire. The fine is around $2000, but some sources say it might be higher. Furthermore, under S.2611, illegal aliens would be FORGIVEN their Social Security FRAUD, even though such fraud is normally punishable by fines of up to $500,000 and five years in prison.
Well let's review and decide which is easier.
1. We find someone that is here illegally and we deport them
2. We find someone that is here illegally and then we try to determine how long they have been here. How do we do that? how much time does that take? How do they prove it? What do we do with them while we are making this determination? Do we simply release them, tell them to prove how long they have been here and check back with us in a month? Do we trust them to come back? Or will they simply take the illegals word for it?
How about that 3 out of 5 years tax payment deal!!!! Gee I wonder if the IRS will let me get away with that one. How do we determine how much income was made under the table to pay tax on? Does the IRS do extensive research to determine this for themselves? how long does that take? Or do we once again just take their word for it?
Bottom line is the Senate Bill, once you get past all of the rhetoric, is Blanket Amnesty. The Government will simply take the word of the illegal as to how long they have been here and how much they have made( ie they will pay NO tax). The Government will forgive them their fraud of the Social Security System.
This Bill is unconstitutional because it VIOLATES EQUAL protection.
How is this equal. Illegal Aliens pay 3 out of 5 years taxes and we will take your word for how much you owe. U.S citizens you pay ALL 5 years and You better be able to PROVE everything you have claimed. Illegal aliens, you are forgiven for your fraud. US citizens, shame on you. If you have committed fraud YOU are going to JAIL!!!!! Somehow that doesn't sound very equal. ACLU where are you???

First of all, Smart American makes me sick. He shows he is not smart by using racial slurs. That being said, I would vote no. While I feel for these people who come here to have a better life, why should they receive preferential treatment? What about the millions of people who are trying to immigrate here legally. Bad behavior should not be rewarded. Are you telling me that people who want to immigrate here from Darfur are less deserving than 15 million Mexican Nationals who enter our country illegally, avail themselves of welfare and every other social service program we offer so they can send all the money they make under the table back to Mexico? Enforce the laws we already have on the books. Why is it the Government only enforces laws it wants to?

It's a tough decision that requires more thinking then "No way, they're taking our jobs!". If you left it to people like "Smart American" over there, you wouldn't have a justifiable answer other than the one that requires no thinking, but just involves a personal bias. As a result, you get millions at the polls determining the lives of others that you'd never meet. You get nothing but a bunch of idiots with a lot to say, and nothing to back it up. Well, I suppose that America for you, right? I wouldn't say Yes or No without thinking, and since the polls are blind ballots, I'm not going to post an answer, even if privacy isn't a concern here.

NO! You don't make laws just to turn around and let people break them just because they 'want' to. Illegal is illegal and they should not get amnesty in any way, form or fashion. They should do like the ones who came here legally. Illegal aliens do not belong in the USA. They have NOT earned the right to benefit from our tax paid assistance. They are NOT citizens. They are criminals from the first step they took into the USA and by using fraudulent ID's have committed a FELONY!! NO, they do not deserve any kind of amnesty!!! They should be systematically deported!! Eisenhower did it over several years and it CAN be done today!!

I would send the illegal aliens home, and only vote on the measure after I had an attorney explain which way to get that to happen at the poll booth in painful and unpleasant detail to me to achieve my desired outcome.
But, voting's kind of one of those shaky deals, I heard there's some company in Venezuela with a stake in the voting machine business...they should make a new movie called 'while you were working' about this whole illegal immigration business.
Can we have that fence built now, please?

I would vote no. Yes, only if there was something in the bill about rounding up the employers and corporations that knowingly hire illegals and punish them for putting me in the position to tell these nice people they have to go.

First I gave Smart American a "thumbs up” only because he made me laugh. I am an American Citizen by virtue of jus soli. I am also of Hispanic decent. Anything that puts a smile on my face is OK. His comment was a bit on the harsh side.

If it was up to me.I would change all immigration laws.First one i would change the laws for spouses visa.A spouse being married for more than 2 years not need a visa,Just a back round check. Then change to immigrants laws that have family our friends that willing to support them till they get jobs.
I think we need to bring back family values.Immigration laws don't have family values. It all about money not family
