After doing a search of the Bible, there are only four times that I can find that the anti-Christ is mentioned. Two of the quotes deal with how to recognize him and the other two appear to give information about when antichrist have appeared.

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
King James Bible, 1 John 2:18-19

“And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
King James Bible, 1 John 4:3

The quotes suggest two things. One - that there have been many antichrist not just one. Two - that there were antichrist in existance about the time that 1 John was written (about 100 AD).

There are some that suggest that Rev 17 has something to do with the antichrist but the antichrist is mentioned no where in Revelations. What in the Bible would suggest that the Beast mentioned in Rev 17 is connected with an antichrist? If you can find it please let me know because I have been looking for why people make this connection for quite awhile.

Just for information sake, the other quotes related to the antichrist are below. Take care and great question.

The anti christ will come on the scene as a king who is very much under the control of the catholic church. He will defeat some nations and ally with others and they will suddenly turn on the Catholic church and destroy it. Anti Christ will bring peace to the middle east and then set himself up as god to be worshipped. He will control all commmerce and force people to take a mark upon their hand or forehead. He will turn against the Jewish people and seek to annilate them, killing 2/3 of them. At that time Christ will return and he will be defeated.
There are other views of course, but this is the most widely accepted view among evangelical protestant churches. There are many scriptures involved, but the one concerning the arrival of the antichrist is Rev. 17.

The anticrist might very well be here on earth this very minute. You never can tell. The world is getting more wicked and evil by the second! Look up, redemption draweth nigh!!
