Any priest, bishop, or Pope publicly reads the Gospel during any Mass that he celebrates.

He also prepares his homily (sermon) based on all of the readings of the Mass, Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel.

A thorough knowledge of scripture is also required of all seminary students.

I think you need to do a little more scholarly research rather than depend on the cartoons at godisimaginary.com.

With love in Christ.

Considering your reference material I have to wonder how anyone could believe your statement. Personally, I don't care one way or the other, but does it make sense to you that the Pope has never read the Bible? Or are you another one of these people who will try to sway others beliefs using whatever means you can contrive?

Actually I believe he's read it, but just ignored all the brutalities of god or deemed them as necessary in his twisted way of thinking and is simply a hypocrite (A Religous HYPOCRITE! What a surprise!) . I don't agree with video about christians and muslims reading their Holy books because people who are gullable enough to believe that stuff usually don't have the brain power to analyze or even comprehend a book..they just have most of the words go in one ear and come out the other, taking lines in that best support their position.

Growing up in Catholic school, they told us not to read the bible. That was only for the clergy to do. Hmmmmmmmm

Given his many years in theological studies and his preaching from the Bible, what you say is not true.

I am pretty sure the pope would beat you when it comes to IQ. Benedict is nothing short of brilliant.
