In my opinion alot of times when a girl expresses it first it's not reciprocated. Women tend to get to the point where they wait for the guy to express it first, so they don't get their feelings hurt.

I don't think that's really true. I told my boyfriend i love him and he doesn't love me back yet, but i know he will eventually. But i'm still glad i said it because then he will know when i stated to love him.
A girl that does wait for the boy to say it first probably does that because she is afraid of him not loving her back. If your girlfriend is feelin like this, i suggest you just let her know that although you may love her now you really care about her and are sure that if you continue spending time with her and gettin to know her you will fall in love.I hope this helps.

well,i don't think its that way anymore these days, its not about a girl or a boy expressing feelings and its not about being the first one to express its about how strongly you feel for that person and how badly you wanna be with the person that encourages one to go and express there true feelings!!

Darlin, this is the year 2006....the rules have changed. What's wrong with a girl showing a guy that she loves him first? Not all girls are old fashioned and expect the guy to do all the work.

I expect basic things (like getting the door opened) from guys. The rest is up for grabs and can be made up as you go along.

Because its the RULES! Guys should make the first move, express their love first, and propose first, open doors first.... all those things are gentlemanly and if you cant do it, then girls will assume you have NO CLASS!

Well, girls are generally more vulnerable. We are afraid of rejections from the one we love. So we tend to wait for the guy to make the first move.

It's traditional. It's always been the male who initiates the relationship- he's the one who asked for a lady's hand in marriage (back when the lady had no say). It still continues as such, and probably won't change for a while yet.

Because the man is the leader. It is his obligation to determine what he wants from life and to try to get it.

If he wants a relationship with a particular woman, it is his responsibility to say so. It is his job to take the risk to attain the reward, not hers.

Because then you don't look like a loser if you say it first and your guy doesn't respond.
