Sometimes I feel that way. I am only 20 years old with a 6 month old, a fiance, and the fiance's father, and I am attempting to make dinner every night. My meatloaf is pretty darn good, and my meatballs are delicious, but yes. I do think that when somebody else cooks something, it tastes better. Especially lunchmeat sandwiches.

Depends on what the meal is. I would much rather eat many of my meals over my mom's or grandmothers because they don't use many spices. The only thing I like better by someone else is my b/f's aunt makes the BEST potato salad, I just can't seem to get mine that way, even when I use her receipe. But if we're talking my chicken alfredo over Olive Garden's...they win hands down!

Kind of. I am sure you still enjoy your own cooking, unless you are a bad cook.
Whether it's cooking, or taking care of ourselves, of getting a massage, we always feel more pleasure, when someone else does it for us. It's physiological. Our brain is divided. It's difficult to get full pleasure of something, when we do it ourselves. For instance, when we go to restaurant, or when someone else cook for us, we know the only we will have to do is enjoy. The brain is only focusing on one activity. It's hard to explain.
In the meantime, it does not mean that you can never enjoy your cooking. Maybe it also depends on how you feel, when you cook, on who you are cooking for......

Depends. I am an excellent cook and have the good fortune to have friends who are great cooks. The best meals are the pot-lucks.

You have cooked it, done the effort and probably nibbled and tasted the food while cooking, so by the time it come to eating it your either not so hungry anymore or just fed up from it.

sometimes yes, because 1) there are no mysteries for you as the cook and 2) if you treat it as a chore... On the other hand, if you turn the meal prep into a ritual and an event, rather than a chore, then you don't lose the "flavour"

Is that a hint that you would like someone to come over and cook all your meals for you?

Not at all. Actually I am an excellant cook and even most of my friends leave it up to me for gatherings. Call me arrogant but, I like my own cooking better.
