Pumpkin, chocolate cream, lemon cream, sweat potato, custard, etc. Whipped cream is good on just about any pie or desert. There is also another pie that I like whipped cream on, but this is the cooking section so I won't mention it here.

Any kind of pie is good with cool whip or whipped cream. But I have to correct you because the egg whites on a lemon meringue pie are not raw they are baked after they are put on the pie. I don't like the meringue either.

cherry,strawberry blueberry,apple pies etc,can have whipped cream.
but i love whipped cream ,
if you want it on the lemon merangue pie (a complete lemon merangue pie)and gave it to me i would eat it
do you put sugar and one drop of lemon in your whipped cream???
lemon cooks things by the way(like fish and meat) ,the eggs are hardly raw
if you did not know it ,would never have bothered you
I think it is just the thought that puts you off
i am sure that millions of people who happily eat lemon merangue pie dont know how it is made

Whipped cream and pies were made for each other. Leave it seperate from the lemon pie to try it out. If you like it, go for it. I hate merangue too!

Oh yea whip cream is fine.I'm not to excited over raw egg whites either. When I make any kind of lemon pie I always use whipped cream. To make a meringue like topping use a tub of cool whip and add a small splash of cream.Mix with electric beaters for about 5 minutes for a good fluffy topping for your pie!

The egg whites are not supposed to be raw. You put the pie in the oven and brown the meringue. It is fully cooked after a few minutes. But whipped cream on chocolate or coconut pie, pecan, sweet potato, pumpkin, apple is terrific.

I think it kind of goes to whatever you like.... that's more what cooking is then following recipes to the letter anyway. If you don't particularly like part of it, adapt it and do what you want with it. Then it becomes your own recipe! Personally I haven't found much of anything that whipped cream isn't perfect on.
