There are 8 of us who would like to visit the Lake District for a weekend in December. How much would it cost to hire a chauffeur driven minibus?

It depends on what you call a weekend - Saturday and Sunday or Friday night through to Sunday night? do you just want taking up there or will you want use of the minibus all weekend?

it can make quite a difference to the final cost.. one way the driver can come home and do other jobs, the other and you'll have to pay for his lodging and wages for a couple of days

A pure "guesstimate" would be £250 per day for the transport, and then add on accommodation and other costs for the [9] of you.
Sounds good but why not hire a mini-bus instead?
