I LOVE pomegranates! You slice the top off, only about 1/4 of it, then slice a triangle in one side pull that piece out and eat the little berries, from there you can just pull the sections apart. MMMM I am jealous. I don't have any.

If you just want the seeds and don't want to have to pick at the fruit and get your fingers stained red, then you will need some rubber gloves first. Take the fruit and slice it in half. Get a somewhat heavy spoon and a mixing bowl . Place the fruit cut side in your palm and tap sharply on the back of the fruit until all the seeds come out, but don't tap too many times in the same place or the rind will break. Then pick out the white pith and enjoy

I'm new to pomeagranates. I'm surprised to find this question actually. I've had it in juice form before, but yesterday was the first day I had it. A coworker of mine was given one and I asked him what it was. He told me to cut it up and share it with the rest of our co-workers. I cut it in four and was surprised at how ot looked inside. At first I tried to eat it the way it was and then I realised it was good and gross at the same time. I offered it to other people and they all declined. One said it was good for you but it was too much work. Then I realised your only supposed to eat the seeds. The seeds are delicious. It was messy and a lot of work. It took me a couple of hours to eat it.

I cut it in half, then turn each half inside out over the plate so most of it falls out.
