Have you ever sat next to an idiot on the bus and been bombarded with whatever the latest crap music is being forced down your throats?
Is it possible to use a small portable device to knock off a mobile phone remotely.
Polite requests to turn it down seem to fall on deaf ears in most cases, no pun intended.

could you imagine something like that falling into the wrong hands.. get one of those on a plane and I'd hate to even think about it... mind you I would love to have one when my neighbour wants to play his music!!

Yes. There is a device that sends out a magnetic pulse.
But it is not portable, and you probably don't want to be on a bus when it happens. Magnetic pulses also interfere with little things like the engine of the bus.
I guess you could do that, but you'd all be sitting together in silence when the bus breaks down along with the music device.

You could just hit device with a stun gun, the power produced by the stun gun would be enough to fry the circuits of whatever you're shocking, or just use it on the person with the portable device. Take your pick. Try looking up a HERF gun too. It'll yield the same result.
