There could be many reasons and cures for this-see your GP-if no luck, see a chiropractor-though FAR infrared sauna cured my back pain after a couple of sessions. My back pain was linked to an infection-lyme disease which doctors dont understand-apart from specialist doctors,or alternative doctors.

Go to a chiropractor, not a regular doctor.
Chiropractor can often help in situations where a normal doctor can only recommend surgery. That is not to say that a normal doctor can't do something for you besides surgery, but a chiropractor is more likely to help without surgery or other painful procedures. A chiropractor is also more likely to actually and successfully treat the problem instead of just relieving the symptoms with drugs.
My boss had slipped his disc so bad that he actually could barely move his legs for a couple of days. Not because of the pain, but because they just didn't wan't to move, no matter how hard he tried. There was a lot of pain. He was told by his normal doctor that he could try a chiropractor, or he could get the problem treated with surgery. But those were the only options available.
He went to chiropractor. Chiropractor got him back on his feet in no time. Over the course of maybe six months, he was back to speed walking (5 miles in one hour). He still has a little pain, but no drugs are necessary.

I feel very sory for you. Know just what it's like. After a few weeks I gave in and went to the docs and after many drug trials (which didn't help) ended up having a scan and was told had a displaced disc. Can't remember doing anything that may have caused it like heavy lifting. Any way doc said it may just go away again, but it hasn't so have to go for a serious operation next week to correct it. If there is a disc problem you could make it worse by leaving it so go and see doc to be on safe side. Best of luck

sleep on the floor for a while, with a duvet beneath you, has to be an even surface, change your mattress and look at factors that may have caused your back pain e.g. lifting heavy goods etc... try going to a chiropractor or your doctor...drugs wont do anything. I suggest mediatating the pain away is better...you can also try acupuncture for the pain!!
hope you feel better soon take care xx :-)

i had back pain last year and couldn't move. ended up calling the ambulance to give me an injection. I went to a chiropractor that did acupuncture. My vertebrae was slighlty out. it worked amazingly. Not a cure though. sometimes if you life heavy stuff it sets it off. just pleanty of rest i think but try to move. a good thing to try is lay on the floor and bring both knees up to your chest while laying down, it stretches the muscle. feel better soon

sounds like you may have a pinched nerve. you need to see a doctor soon, if it is a pinched nerve the longer it stays pinched the more damage it can cause. ask the doctor to do a MRI and then you will know for sure what is going on. Wish you the best of Luck.

Need to get it checked out, if its that bad I would suggest a visit to A&E, they will probably be able to give you stronger pain meds and at least you could get an X-ray.
