If you are looking to decide if you should install it, by ALL means, YES. It is not only a browser update, but makes other browser applications like firefox safer as well - they use some of the updated IE files for themselves.
Yes, I downloaded it on day one, and took about 5 minutes to get used to where everything got moved to. I really like the multiple home pages and tabs. The jury is still out on the new favorites method. Another fallback is the various toolbars are inflexible and can not be combined on the same row.
A lot of people complain about the speed, but this is because they have the anti-phishing feature turned on. This takes time when loading sites, but is the price we almost have to pay for increased security.

If you do an IE 7/Mozilla Firefox comparison from Google or any site on the net, you will be hard pressed to find IE 7 winning anywhere.

Free, Low RAM usage, comes with Windows OS.
Slow, Unsecure.
I use FireFox which, in my opinion, is much better (and secure)
Although Internet Explorer 7 is new and is meant to me more secure.. I cannot back it up but it may well be more secure.

I dl'd it and within 24 hours, things started to go wonky. My Music match stopped working and networking problems ensued. I have since gone back - I had to use restore to do it.
m$ still has some bug ironing to do

Works for me-this time-the first time-I uninstalled it because it caused problems.
