My brother just join the U.S Army, and he call me a couple of days ago he’s going thought basic training. He said that they put them in groups of 200 cadets, 85 cadets in his group is U.S citizen including my brother, and 115 cadets are immigrants and 94 of them got amnesty under the 1986 President Reagan plan.

The question my brother would like me to ask is.

Those immigrants help our military?

There are a lot of immigrants in the military. I think your numbers are suspicious though, particularly the bit about the 94 who got amnesty under the 1986 amnesty.

The volunteers are definitely helping. No one is questioning the bravery of any legal immigrant that is or has served in the US military.Do I think all illegal aliens should be given the chance for amnesty thru military service ,I must give a qualified no.Qualified because it would depend on the back ground check of the illegal, and you must be able to speak English in the US military.
Oh and please thank your brother for serving his nation,I for one am thankful to him and all the other brave men and women.

why not? immigrants have that steady positive outlook in life that wanted to be part of the nation. what better way to make it up other than serving their new country? i salute all of the armed forces no matter who they are.

usually other nations assists u.s. in any war they are in. so that shows you, other nations feel that loyalty and dream to be part of the combatant team.

i was an immigrant before (i am now a naturalize citizen), i really wanted to join the navy but due to some difficult circumstances, i failed to do so. i think the timing is not right, the decision is not firm, but how i wish i can turn back time.

that was my wished to be among the representative not only from my country but from my family as well...

I don't know, but the plan might be to have an extra 5 to 8 million people on hand to draft. No way are they letting that many people into America out of the goodness of there hearts.

If they volunteered they are helping. They are going through the same training and the expectations are the same for them as anyone else. They will be promoted on their abilities and will be given no slack. The military is pretty good in the equal rights arena. Uncle Sam sees only green. No colors, sexes, religions, familiar status, or races are factored in with promotions.
