As a general rule, no. Many people- myself included- find it very freaky when someone hides his/her eyes with sunglasses indoors. When I can't see the person's eyes, I can't tell how the person is feeling or what their intentions may be. Or, is the other party wearing shades to cover up reddened eyes or dilated pupils (signs of drunkenness or drug abuse)? Now, I don't have an issue with sunglasses indoors if the person has just had his/her eyes dilated at the eye doctor's office, is blind, has an eye injury or recent eye surgery, or is unusually sensitive to light. But others? Let's see your eyes please, folks.

In my opinion, the only time sunglasses should be worn inside is if the person has a medical reason for doing so. Doing otherwise makes me wonder what they're hiding....the eyes are the window to the soul. Kinda difficult to size the person up when you can't see their eyes.

That is rather tacky but people can do it. Most have them on to look cool, shady or to hide the fact their eyes are either red or blackened. Good etiquette says that when speaking to another one should always make eye contact, and with shades this is impossible.

Doing that is equivalent to wearing them at night.For some reason they feel they must act cool at all times.Lose the glasses please,and look at me when I'm talking to you.Unless they're for medical purposes.

Perhaps those slightly tinted ones... they come in pink , baby blue, light green, light amber.
