Not sure what program you have, but start programs the program and run the program, should have option to scan. If not, try the folowing easy to use tools to keep your computer clean. They are free and what I use.

Look under tools at the top of your screen, or go to Start, Programs. Have you checked your desktop?

Look for your anti virus program. Click on that. Open it and you should find a button to run or Scan.

You should be able to "right click" on the link, or click "Send to", and make a short cut. Drag it to your desktop for easy access.
