Remember the Unibomber? It was his brother who finally came forward.
It's sad when you face criminal behavior in your own family but if you KNOW she is hurting others and you do NOTHING about it, aren't you really helping her conceal the truth and in effect, helping her steal?
I hope the court system will consider her age and mental faculties before judging her too harshly. She needs care.

Turn her in. You gotta think about the people she is hurting while doing this. This almost happened to my single mom who is on very low income, doesn't get child support from AWOL dad and goes to work for long hours every day...if someone would have stolen any large amount of money from us we would probably be on the streets right now. Your aunt is a selfish moron who needs to be turned in. Stealing people's credit cards, identity, money for your own personal gain when you don't know anything about the people your doing it from is the height of selfishness. TURN HER IN AND GIVE HER WHAT SHE DESERVES! If the punishment was up to me and she had stolen my money (me, not knowing her condition) I would pitch some molotovs on her roof and key 'THeif' onto her car, so if you don't care about her victim's you should know your aunt is endangering herself also. Luckily she has not and you can turn her in to the cops for the punishment who can get her some help and get the money back where it belongs and everyone can be happy :D.

Has she done it to you? Does she steal wallets?how is she stealing their identity?
If she is over 70 it might senile dementia and you need to get her to a doctor.
If she is under 70 she might have been doing this all her life and nobody has called her on it.
She definitely needs help, especially if these people are strangers they are going to find her out eventually. She is stealing and stealing is against the law you might talk to some one in law enforcement and see if they can keep you name out of the investigation. It is really hard to turn in family but sometimes you need to do it she is harming other people.

Stealing someones credit is one of the worst things you can do to someone. it is a nightmare to resolve and literally takes years and hours and hours of work. Personally I think people who do that should be forced to eat a bullet. Get her to stop and definitelly notify authorities. This is no different than breaking into some ones house and stealing their belongings or their car or money from their bank account. TURN HER IN!
