If you want a nice place in the piney woods then you should head to Walden Texas. i go there every summer to play golf there. It is so much fun. They even have the hardest hole in Texas if you want a challenge. The hole playes into a lake with a dog leg right with water on both sides of the green. It is also home of lake conroe. There is fishing and fireworks there too if u can hang for the New Year. Plus you can rent boats. By the way did i say that it was very cheap. Around 500 for a family of 3. later
