To the first poster and anyone after me, I say "whatever" there is a purgatory. If there's a hell and a heaven then there's a limbo then. Just because it isn't mentioned in the bible don't you think that it may have been written out of the bible. Remember folks the bible was created by men perhaps thru God. The Roman Catholics belief that it truly exist and perhaps the Christian and the other similar don't believe in it. To answer your question, Judas may have been sent to Purgatory and may have been forgiven but it is the author's personal theory on Purgatory. I hope this helps you out in my answer.

Hi, let me assure you that there is indeed a place of purification that is known as Purgatory, and I shall explain why.
first all those who by their fundamental stuck in the mud dogma will not admit to this purifying place but insist that they are good enough to go straight into Gods presence, this is nothing but pride.
God is perfection itself and He cannot abide sin,and sin stains the soul as coffee stains the pot, yes the sin is forgiven by repentance but not the residue of sin.
it stands to reason that we too must be pure as God is pure to be in His presence, if not it would be like trying to mix oil and water,
for example, if you steal from me a sum of money and later are sorry for the harm you have caused and ask forgiveness then you are forgiven but what about the sum of money? aren`t you morally obliged to give it back and make restitution? well the restitution of sins repented and forgiven has to be paid for to render complete satisfaction and this is done in Purgatory.
Judas could have went back to Jesus and asked His forgiveness and Jesus would have forgiven him and he like all most us would have been purified of the stain of that sin in Purgatory, before entering the absolute perfection of God.
however, Judas despaired of forgiveness and this was the sin against the Holy Spirit and could not be forgiven in this life or the next.
Jesus Himself alluded to Purgatory when He spoke of the wicked servant, that he would be thrown into prison and not get out untill he had paid the last penny, this cannot be a description of Hell as there is no release,so it has to be Purgatory, nothing else fits.

that's a competent question, one which has been requested for on the point of two,000 years. many human beings right here say that Judas did not do what he did of his personal loose will... i do not have self assurance that to be authentic. Many have self assurance that "gratifying prophesy" takes away loose will, that the guy is "destined" to stay with it. i do not agree. God is outside of time, and tells the prophets of earlier what to positioned in writing as He sees it ensue. If Judas hadn't keen to betray Jesus, the prophesy would have not in any respect been made. in spite of in case you want to assert that Jesus' betrayal replaced into "predestined," it replaced into not predestined that it will be Judas. it can were Peter, or Andrew, or between the Apostles that we not in any respect listen about, it did not could be JUDAS. It replaced into Judas's selection. subsequently, it replaced into not out of his administration. the subsequent question is of Judas' regret that replaced into shown in suicide. replaced into this an act of repentance? No, it replaced into not. Killing oneself will be (and right here surely replaced into) an act of regret, yet that doesn't make it an act of repentance. we want to not confuse both. Repentance is aligning your will and your movements with God's will, not only feeling sorry for what you've performed. Suicide isn't God's will, and is subsequently not repentance. Judas would were yet another Paul. Paul killed Christians, and grew to develop into one in all God's maximum ideal servants. Judas would have repented and develop into an party of what God can do with a repentant coronary heart. In end, i have self assurance Judas did not bypass to heaven, because i have self assurance that he acted of his personal loose will, and that i have self assurance that even as his suicide did educate regret, it replaced into not an act of repentance.

First of all, there is no such thing as purgatory. the bible does not support that beleif. Second, Judas was never a believer. Christ refers to him as a devil and at the time of the last supper, the Bible records for us that Satan entered into Judas. This cannot happen to a true beleiver in Christ.

IF Judas would have had the opportunity to ask Jesus for forgiveness, he would be in heaven. Look at the thief that was crucified nest to Christ. God is love. God Bless.

I do not believe there is sufficient proof to say that Judas betrayed Jesus, nor that he committed suicide.

It is not good to speculate on this. I think Judas' suicide was a lesson for us too. Much like manure is fertilizer for peoples gardens...

There is no such place as purgatory, so no he wouldn't go there.
And Peter had no authority to work out the forgiveness of another human being.
