Persecution purifies a church, I don't think that American Christians know what persecution is. In Iraq they want to kill Christians. People are disowned by there families and killed. These Christians know what the worth of a Bible is. Many would give their life to keep a bible from being burnt. These christians would love the freedom to tell others about Christ without anything but a door slammed in there face or even to just be spat on. I don't think we are persecuted.

God Bless

I agree that some Christians are hypocrites. There are allot of religious people that are and Yeshua called them on it. He is telling them that by their actions they turn away people that may seek God.

Matthew 23:13 13 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

Paul says:

Romans 2:21-24 21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? 24 As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

Say what you want about "Christians" and their actions but that does not mean that they are following the teachings. If you are going to "judge" on that basis then I suggest you widen your research group to include the 100s of 1000s of Christians who give their lives away in service everyday through out the world. Those are the real Christians.

You fall into the same judgmental process as those you are talking about. You lack the bigger picture as they do. I am a Christian and I know I am a sinner and am humbled because of it. Just because someone is a Christian does not mean they are not a sinner. A jerk who just became a Christian is now a Christian jerk. The difference is that that Christian jerk is doing all he can to change and be like the ultimate human model for God, Yeshua. You aren't going to change over night but somethings can change immediately.

Please do not allow your opinions of any group be defined by the "bad apples". Have you ever met a Christian you would say is real and caring person. I know I have. I don't know many people but I know of at least 100 Christians who are like that.

How can you call yourself "persecuted" when Christians are the religious majority of the country? When Christian churches enjoy privleges that no other religion does? When donations to Christian churches exceed donations to just about every other charity?

The times I've noticed when Christians scream "persecution" the loudest is when they are told by someone to not preach, evangelize, or otherwise leave non-christians alone.

You guys have a serious martyr complex going.

Yes, as Christians we are persecuted every day, as Jesus was.
I watch on TV these 'so called' Christians and their main reason for being on there is to sell something or beg for money for their organization, that is wrong!
Also, I do watch for wolves in sheeps clothing, as the Bible tells us to do. So many false Prophets in this world and we have to be very careful.
I witness to others and you wouldnt believe the persecution I get but I remember Jesus, as he told of His Fathers love, he was also persecuted. Am I better than Him? Nope, so I just take the persecution and witness right on. Have a good day.

I dont know. Ask the Arab Christians that are sitting in their little villages minding their own business when an Islamicist group comes by and kills all the Jews and Christians in the village.

I dont think you know what true persecution is.

at first, I dont rather discriminate against the gay community. Secondly, i do have faith if God needed so you might have equality you will possibly; very corresponding to women have slowly gained further and extra freedom (probable by way of fact God has considered how men have slacked on their roles) . Thirdly, we are all sinners. each physique, so jointly as its great which you element out that many Gays abide in Christ; What distinction does that rather make?

Christians are persecuted because when we become christians everyone expects us to be perfect, so they call us hypocrits. But as Christians we know that there was only one perfect person on this planet and that was Jesus Christ. We are all sinners and as a Christian I know this. Jesus died for our sins. When we sin, wwe need to pray and try harder to be more like Jesus. We will fall short all the time. So no one should point finger at anyone. "Ye who have not sinned throw the first stone." Jesus.

Persecution comes from our love of Jesus the Christ, and the Fathead attitude of others. The same way Jews are persecuted by idiots who don't accept God.
