Hi mama of two. Wherever you are living in the USA you have your tri care ppo insurance for medical care. Start by reaching out to the medical professionals to guide you. As far as sponsors, are you referring to donations? You should have no problem being taken care of under the military insurance. If you are speaking of his insurance as a hmo provider, that is a referral system like the military have. However, you can use the insurance as a ppo, there is a deductable, but it will get you a better choice of care. Also look into a referral specialist from a trusted doctor you may have, and do not stop there. There are good cancer hospitals for children if the that may be what they find. These specialist in hospitals are may help with the deductable and your co payment bills My prayers are with you,and may God bless you on your journey to find the help you need. Keep fighting for your son. Stay strong and keep your faith.

Sincerely,

A navy wife

If your husband is active duty in the military, you are eligible for full health coverage. If he is guard/reserve, you should still be eligible for some coverage, if not full, especially since he's been activated and deployed. You should have a contact for his unit information (what post he works out of when he reports for duty, they will have people there even if the troops are deployed) for someone who can help answer your questions. Either way, in military, when they ask who your sponsor is, it's automatically your husband (or who ever is the soldier in the family).
Being brain surgery is major, if his command knows about it he might be able to get home on emergency leave at least for the surgery and part of the recovery.

I'm not too sure what "sponcers" are. I'm sure if you go to you PCM or the ER they will be able to help you. I really wish I knew what sponcers were because then I'd be able to help better. Best of luck!

Call Tricare. I'm just in odds about this question because if he is your husband (not boyfriend) you would already be listed as a dependent and already be enrolled in Tricare Standard---if not Prime. They automatically put dependents in some health care therefore, you'd all be a part of something medical.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband being in Iraq and it am also sorry about your son, having a brain tumor..

My husband is in the Navy and I am afraid that he might have to goto but all I can do is pray that he does not go. Pray for your husband and he will be alright and before you know it he will be home again. As for your son, maybe you should talk to his doctor too find out what other options you have. I really wish that I could help but I am not really sure what to tell you about that but I am so sorry and I wish you the best if luck...

If your husband is in the military, I would suggest checking with CHAMPUS, which is in place to assist members of military families with these kinds of problems. Check with your husbands home unit for info on this. Good luck and may God bless!

If you are U.S. military then you should have no problems getting what is needed. All you have to do is take them to the doctor's and get the paperwork going.

Doesn't the military offer you health care? See them about it.
