I have an ecology project I'm working on for my science class and I could use some help. My ecological concern is how animals are disrupting urban residences (Ex: raccoons in trash cans, deer in your backyard) in which they've formerly occupied before that area became a sub-division. For my project, I need to know who supports limiting housing growth to allow animals to retain their natural habitats. On the other hand, I need to know who opposes the supporters' view and believes we should liberally build houses to sustain the growth in human population. Names of groups/organizations would be good; however, names of celebrities/well-known persons would be better. If you can help me, please provide a source. Thank you for all your help!

You do need some more schooling , your argument is kind of all over the place. In an ecological science class your world view would not be "how animals are disrupting urbanization", but rather how urbanization is effecting said ecosystems. Now having said that I will answer your question.
In ecology urbanization is a bad term, you realize this. Urbanization is currently on the increase and is what we commonly refer to a sprawl (this is not the same as growth) Urbanization is also refers to as mega cities and this is correlated to a decrease of Quality of life. Urbanization is also a sink for resources backed by current linear economic system.
If you are pro-urbanization then you do not support a sustainable world. However there are several cities that are currently dealing with wildlife by renewing corridors along stream and river system. Chicago is one with the "Area Forest Preserve system", and Denver with the renewal of the South plate and the Confluence park system. Also there are other cities with green belt like Austin, Boulder, and San Fransisco etc. Hope this helps, E-mail me if you have further questions.
