Well, I've always thought that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit were equal and the same, but in church, the gospel reading was Mark 13: 24-32, and the last bit "But as for the day or hour, nobody kows it, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; no one but the Father" seems to imply the Father's superiority over the Son. And the fact that Christ constantly alludes to the fact that He does the Father's will and all imply that God the Father is greater than God the Son. I think I remember my priest saying once that Father, Son and Holy Spirit were one and the same, so is there like a hierachy thing going on up there? To tell you the truth, I'm the sort of Catholic whose only exposure to the bible is during mass and the occasional flick through at home, as well as the mysteries of the rosary, so i pretty much suck.

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three separate. You are speaking of the Trinity which is not Biblical. God is greater than Jesus. Jesus knew this, and that's why he said it. The only way that they are one and the same is through union. A husband a wife become one flesh when they are married, but that doesn't mean that they are one person. It means they are in union with one another.

What does the Bible say? At John 14:28, Jesus said: "The Father is greater than I am." Did that statement apply only while Jesus was a human? No. Years after Jesus went back to heaven, the apostle Paul, under inspiration, wrote at 1 Cor. 11:3: "The head of the Christ is God." So even after Jesus ascended to heaven, he was inferior to God.

Incidentally, the Bible does NOT call Jesus God the Son. Rather, he is the son of God. The trinity is a falsehood that is foreign to the teachings of the Bible.

I am an even worse Catholic than that, I became Rational Spirituality,

This concept teaches that the "Father", the most senior Dvinie Souls is the greatest, most pure and most wise of all Souls. He was the first to become Divine. He is the teacher of the other two. Christ was the second to become Divine, and the Holy Spirit is the third.

But more important than the hierarchy between them is, that their roles are divided according to their responisibilities in the One, where every inhabitant will live in bliss (the heaven by the religious). The Father is responsible for the smooth running of all processes, and for the Judgment of Souls. The Son is responsible for education, and the Holy Spirit is responsible for cohesion and for the protection of the One from negative elements. Conventionally, they could be described as the most senior manager, the most senior teacher and the most senior protector of the One (the heaven).

In time, the three Souls become One, and one God, between them they have all the attributes jointly adding to perfection.

To me learning this made so much sense. The concept is available on the Dhaxem website. Conveyed only in February 2006, it has already many followers. Their lives were changed by the knowledge.

I'm not sure why we always hear, "The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" in that order. God was first as was the Holy Spirit. I know in Genesis 1:26 says "Let 'us'...(i'm not going to put it all here)
This is God talking and it ain't to Jesus. Yet a little later in the same book, Jesus is mentioned.

Jesus took on Himself a voluntary submission under the Father when He came to earth and it was under that submission that Christ took on some human limitations and under that that He made the statement that "not even the Son" knew. Once salvation was accomplished and Christ returned to His former state of equality with the Father that condition would not exist.

Here is the Scripture that ells us that: Philippians 2:5"...Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth"

The Father was indeed greater than the Son while Jesus was here on earth. However, now that He is sitting at the Right Hand of the Father, He is again coequal with the Father. It was a matter of placement. In Heaven, it is plain that the Father, Son and Spirit are all aspects of the One God.

You are on the right path,by reading the bible yourself. I was in that religion once.and many others, when I saw I was not being taught the truth from the bible, I left, you should too.I never understood why we prayed to Mary.No where in the bible does it says to do so.And all the candle burning, and rosary, useless when we can go straight to Jesus himself. as the bible says to do.I had so many questions and the clergy had no answers, they didn't know.Blind leading the blind,Years ago I meet some bible students,(Jehovah's Witnesses) They truly stick to the bible, and I'm still getting my answers. Their is only one truth in that comes from the bible. Keep up the good work by reading your bible.

When Jesus became a human being, he "put on hold" some of his powers. This is why he didn't know the time of his return. 'm sure he knows now.
His relationship with the Father is like an earthly father-son relationship. A son should treat his father with respect, look up to him, but that does not mean the son is inferior to his father. It's just that the father and son have different duties, responsibilities based on their position.
Are you ready for Jesus' return?
In John 3:3 Jesus says "You must be born again."

As a man, Jesus left his "godness" in heaven. He was not omniscient while on earth. He lived by perfect faith in the Father and perfectly did the Father's will

AFTER the resurrection and His glorification, omniscience is again attributed to Jesus. Peter says, "Lord, you know all things" (John 21:17).

Remember, Jesus IS God in the flesh (John 1). The exact representation of His being (Heb 1). The creator and sustainer of all things (Col 1). Jesus can't be lessor or greater than God because He IS God.

Now, when Jesus came to earth as a man, he was made lessor because He took on human flesh (Read Philippians 2 and Hebrews 2).
