Yes it is the reason. Your vet or whomever gave the injection damaged a nerve probably permanently. It sounds like a lawsuit to me. You should notify them immediately and whatever they want to do should be at no charge. Don't let them euthanize the dog without getting a second opinion as a witness. Also, you might want to keep the dog as miracles do happen...!

Only licensed Vets are supposed to give Rabies Vaccinations. If your Vet did not give the shot you may want to consider changing Vets but it sounds like your dog should be seen ASAP from what you are describing. Call your Vet where the damage may have been done, and your Vet should see him immediately or tell you where to go and cover the charges.
If your Vet does not see your dog or refer you, change Vets, get your dog treated ASAP. Hope your dog will be okay or that he may be doing better already.

I don't know what kind of injection he got - any that my dogs get are just put in under the skin - not likely because of that. However, he either hurt his leg or is possibly having some kind of reaction and should get back to the vet asap.

This could be a rare side effect of the vaccine. You didn't say which vaccine, but I am assuming it was a Rabies.
You need to call the vet and let him know.
