Umm....
Successfully turning the campaign into a morality issue rather than one of competence?
Uniting the K street lobbyists and his cabinet to make it easier for corporations to buy our government?
Giving the extremely wealthy tax breaks that Reagan only dreamed of?
Empowering the chickenhawks of the New American Century to make some of the worst foreign policy decisions this country has ever seen?
Claiming to be a "vietnam era vet" when he saw only two weeks of duty in the national guard, flying over Texas before going awol and somehow getting an honorable discharge for it? And then raising false issues about an actual vet in order to try to take the military vote?
Plunging us into a terrible, needless stupid war that is costing us billions of dollars and thousands of lives?
Taking credit for lowering the cost of business through golbalization, yet blaming Clinton and the democrats for domestic job loss as a result of globalization policies?
...in all seriousness I can think of nothing good about the man. If you see a restoration of morality and dignity, then you clearly are more comfortable with a government that is in bed with private interests than in bed with their interns. I don't mind if the leaders of my government have mistresses, that's their private business. But I do get very angry when they can be bought by influence peddlers such as Abramoff, Enron and Pat Robertson.

"reduced the terrorist network by 70%"
Um Leogirl? Where did you get that "fact"?
Because there was an intelligence report out, which I'm sure you heard about on the news, that stated that there are MORE terrorists now than since Bush took office. If you didn't hear that report then go Yahoo! or Google it.
Frankly, I'm not sure what he'll be remembered for. It is true, as a previous answerer stated, that there have been no more terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11. Which is definitely good! Have to count our blessings when we get them.
Conservatives like Roch Cop argue that Clinton caused a recession and Bush is fixing it while Liberals tend to argue that Clinton had a surplus and Bush is the recession.
Go to http://www.ppionline.org/ppi_ci.cfm?knlgAreaID=107&subsecID=295&contentID=252964 to see a great comparason chart of Clinton Vs Bush.
"... Bush will have to perform a careful dance, with 2.4 million jobs lost since Febuary 2001, a month after he took office."
Bush hasn't done well in the economy, in my opinion.
I think he can be best remembered for that which he spoke the most about. Natl. Security and the Iraq War. History books will probably state that he went into Iraq, there were growing feelings of not wanting to be there, etc.. etc... The history books will speak loosely, I'm sure, about the polarization of America and how movies like Farhenheit 9/11 came out and other movies on the other side fought back. Truthfully, it won't be a straight shot for him. The economy could be shown as Average at best and the War in Iraq has failed in many ways. Though, on the plus side: Iraq DID have an election.
I guess I'm torn. I know I don't support Bush but I'm trying very hard to find something good to say. I'll put this question on watch, I suppose.

Have your children remeber him for the $4.5 trillion of debt that he dropped on their backs (so far). Remember, your kids and mine will be paying the price of Bush's misadventures and our current economic recovery for decades to come. Interest on the national debt has gone from 10% of our national revenues to 20% since 2000. Think what your kids' presidents might have been able to accomplish with an additional $250 billion a year.

Your too untimely, via calling absolutely everyone President, excepts the prevailing one. Obama, can conquer what President Bush has executed, even with the indisputable fact that that's gonna take time and cooperation from all . with a bit of luck, he will purchase himself some Hip/waders, to conflict with the aid of all of the overflow of the Cess Pool. and a few nostril plugs.

We may not know Bush's legacy for another 20 years. If we succeed in restoring order in Iraq and find bin Laden, history will look back upon Bush in a very positive light.

Unfortunately, Bush is not a "great" President, or even a Mediocre one. Historically, he is the least liked and respected President of all time, so far, even surpassing Carter. Thats not insulting, its based purely on historical fact. Today Bush has a 69% disapproval rating. His lack of success is even more disturbing when one considers that the three branches of government were controlled by his political party at the time.
Bush has not made any significant contributions to national history, but will be remembered infamously as a loose cannon President who squandered his political capital. Not being cruel, just honest. I am a fiscally-conservative moderate Republican, by the way, so keep that in mind before hurling insults or reporting me for somthing.

No child left behind, which is for the children not the lazy *** teachers that only work 6 months of the year and whine about more money. Money has never made anyone a better employee. Teachers apparently don't get that.
More funding for social programs than any other administration
He is rebuilding our military after clinton took us down to dangerous levels
tax cuts
Afghanistan and Iraq
More security at home

Katrina, Iraq, eviscerating federal protection agencies like FEMA and EPA--giving wrong information to the citizens that were depending on him (i.e. the workers, rescue personnel and the people of the City of New York that the air post 9/11 was safe.) These are a few of his accomplishments.

I wish I could think of anything great he will be remembered for. His dad, a great and moral man, is trying desperately to save his legacy in history, but I think it is too late.

dear ignorant slave of the 'great U.S of A'
- bush will be known for his masterminded plan of killing his own people in the twin towers (incase u didnt know, those planes were NOT hijacked by arabs, they were remote controlled by the american government), and then blaming it on Osama, (bush does millions of dollars worth of business with the Bin Ladens).
he will also be remembered for 'looking for weapons of mass destruction' but in fact, the pig was only interested in the OIL!!
and so the saga continued until he took it upon himself to take Saddam to trial and then give him the death penalty.
wake up and smell the coffee! there are some of us with brain cells out there.
