And when Jesus died, it took away the sacrifices, because he was the ultimate one.

There is an Old Testament and a New Testament. Reading the New Testament you will find that Jesus, Himself, amended (for lack of a better word) some of what God laid down as law.
I don't follow any religion, I consider myself a Methodist, but I don't agree with everything United Methodists do.
God did not plan on us following a "religion". Only Him. You only have to live up to what God expects of you, now, today, in this life. We no longer sacrifice the way they did in the Old Testament, however, there are other ways to sacrifice.
Give your time or money to those in need. Work in a soup kitchen on your birthday, or Thanksgiving, or even Christmas. This is sacrifice. God Bless

People don't sacrifice any more because when Jesus died on the cross he was the ultimite sacrifice and paid for every and all sins of this world. SO we do not have to sacrifice anything. He just wants you to stive to be more like him and pray. The word Christian comes from when Christ died for our sins. We become Christians when we believe he did this. From the middle of Romans is when we got into the church age. So this is the church age..we don't live by the Old testament laws. Go to bible college to learn more.

That's just ignorant. Christians NEVER sacrificed animals. There was no need. Jesus IS our Perfect Sacrifice. Stop talking nonsense and learn something before you speak.

Christians never sacrifced animals. Jews did but not Christians..
But I will agree alot of Christianity has changed. First I believe the BIblie literally and alot of so called Christians try to switch things up to fit there own needs. Which is obviously wrong. Another problem is all the false teaching in Christianity. Paul said false teachers would sneak up in the chruch.

It's called evolution - for a number of reasons, certain practices have fallen by the wayside, and in some cases have been replaced by other practices. The question is, how central are these practices? If something is not central or critical, dropping it shouldn't be seen as an issue.

I totally agree, eventhough I have no idea where you got that information about sacraficing animals because it is wrong. But what I do agree with is that religion is misleading. Religion is misguided and unorganized. On top of that, when Christains say they are christians they are saying that they are followers of Christ. Jesus Christ never in his life ate pork, yet many Christains eat pork. Early Christains never ate pork either. Yet, so many Christians today eat pork. None follow original rules, unless they are sheltered from society. Religion is going to make us die an early death!!

Do Not Follow Your Parents' Religion Blindly
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura5.ht...
[5:104] When they are told, "Come to what GOD has revealed, and to the messenger," they say, "What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us." What if their parents knew nothing, and were not guided?
[5:105] O you who believe, you should worry only about your own necks. If the others go astray, they cannot hurt you, as long as you are guided. To GOD is your ultimate destiny, all of you, then He will inform you of everything you had done.

Culture and Society have changed over the years and have evolved into different traditions. there have also been changes in different Religious Belief Systems by coming into contact with different Religious Belief Systems. by interacting with different Rituals and Ceremonies a contamination of each takes place.

Women didn't have the vote, homosexuality was illegal, blacks and whites were segregated - times change, and religion must change with it or stagnate. Those religions worked in those times but would not work today.
