What if there were no libraries?

I have to write an essay on it, and well, I ran out of ideas.....so plzz help me out guys!! This is for an essay writing competition.

don't worry.. there's always internet...
fun aside, here're some points for your essay:
-- no knowledge sharing possible, so everyone will have to reinvent the wheel.
-- no place to do your research
-- no place to study peacefully
-- loss of employment to the library staff
