What I recommend is getting all the nutrients and food your body needs, while getting it in the least amount of calories. I found a super-food shake, which has everything your body needs and is a complete meal replacement. The great thing is, is that it's only 240 calories. It's an awesome way I've been losing weight, while not starving my body. It'd be great for you. Send me an email if you want more information. Good luck.

You can actually move more than you think while sitting all day. I do this and you can too.
For more info see the likn below. That's where I learned.

Sit properly in a good chair designed for desk work. Your back should be straight, and your head should be looking directly into your monitor. If you have to look down or up, you need to adjust the height of either the screen or your chair. If you keep leaning forward, first get your eyesight checked. If your eyesight is fine use a loose belt or string to tie yourself to the chair. After a while your posture will improve and you'll no longer need this restraint.
Maintain an ergonomic body posture while typing. Be sure your wrists are slightly lower than your elbows. This will help prevent Carpal Tunnel Sydrome. Keep your legs bent at the knees so that the knees are only slightly higher than your hips. Feet should be flat on the floor or on a step stool of some sort.
Stand up every half hour. Walk around a few steps, stretch your legs, and give your eyes a break from focusing on your computer screen. This will also help prevent blood clots from developing in your legs. Blood clots are very common among middle age people, who generally use the computer a lot.
To stretch your neck, flex your head forward/backward, side to side and look right and left. Never roll your head around your neck. This could cause damage to the joints of the neck.
Roll your wrists regularly (this will help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome if you spend a lot of time typing).
Recognize that people tend to hunch in front of the keyboard. To counter that, perform the following exercise: open your arms wide as if you are going to hug someone, rotate your wrists externally (thumbs going up and back) and pull your shoulders back. You will feel a stretch in the scapula area.
Contract your abdominal and gluteal muscles, hold them there for a few seconds, then release. Do this all day long while you are in your chair.
Stretch your arms, legs, neck and torso while sitting. This will help prevent you from feeling stiff.

This is one of the biggest complaints that most people have when they are working in and office envioroment. The most effective way to loose the lbs is to take 30-45 minutes each day and get some cardio in. Your body does yes burn calories all day long. However your body becomes acclimated to the sedenary state. You can try doing leg lifts under your desk , get up every couple of hours and spend a few minutes walking around. Stay away from sweet starchy foods, foods high in saturated fats and drink plenty of clear liquids.

If you can't move at work make sure to excersise(walk) before or after work. To keep your blood sugar levels at a constant level I would recommend food that had a low glycemic index. I would suggest skim milk, plain yorgurt, a soy drink(without too much sugar), apple, plum, orange(pure juices would work too) sweet potatoe, oatbran bread, all-bran, parboiled rice, pumpernickel bread, lentils, kidney beans, baked beans. These foods fill you up and keep you so for long while. Here is another list of food that has a medium glycemic index rating. Banana, pineapple, raisins, popcorn, pea soup, brown rice, shredded wheat cereal, whole wheat bread, rye bread. Don't forget portion control and eating 200-300 calories every 2 hours, and to eat breakfast.

Bring light snacks to eat at work like plain popcorn, carrot sticks, celery sticks, jello cups, dried fruits (like raisins). For lunch, try wraps with lettuce, diced chicken or ham, and light cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit cups, unsweetened applesauce, low salt pretzels. Also, consider walking for 10 - 15 minutes of your lunch break if possible too. If the weather gets bad, you could walk inside your office.
