I need everyone to pray for me. I want to devote my life to God. I want to accecpt Jesus Christ as my savior. However, my burderns are plenty. Every obstacle that exists stops me, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, from making that final commitment. Why is that? My problems go from bad to worse. Its seems like there is no end in sight to all my problems. I get discouraged and sometimes frustrated. I almost feel that I am being punished. Please give me some insight. Why is it so hard to take that final step to being saved?

satan doesn't want to let you go...It is spiritual warfare.

Eph 6:12
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

It would help if you went to a Christian church and fellowshipped with other Christians. Your time will come.

I pray the Grace of God upon you.

God Bless!

I feel that you are thinking you will be "giving up" things that you love if you get saved. But the Bible says, "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8) You just simply confess that you are a sinner in need of salvation through Jesus. Don't worry about the rest. While you will be instantly saved, the sanctifying part is more of a process and occurs over time as you learn His Word. God does the cleansing - not you. Pillipians 1:6 says, "...he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." So, you see? It is not you working - it is HE. You will enjoy the process as you grow. You may have the mistaken idea that a christian is all clean and goody goody. But really, what being a christian means is now that your saved, in addition the the sinful nature that has always been there, you are now equipped with a spiritual nature also which can be used to resist the sinful part. Before a believer is saved, they do not have that spiritual advantage. So, as I see it, in your present state, being a christian may look scary because you do not yet have within you that spiritual nature. But you can learn about it in Romans chapter eight. That is the chapter that God used to save me. I will keep you in my prayers. Good luck!

On reason you feel frustrated is because you don't know why things happen right? Nothing in this world happens because God or Satan want it to happen. Good an evil are always choices we have to make in our lives, but externally... to turn a phrase "**** happens". We as humans have a need to make a reason for everything. This is how the old gods were born. "Why did thunder happen, must be a god." In short stuff happens... and we want it so badly to mean something when, in fact, it doesn't mean a damn thing... it just is.

Life isn't easy, nor did anyone say it was going to be. God is there to give us hope, not to condemn us for messing up. (That's John 3:17). The book of Job is a story... nothing more, like most of the Old Testiment. God DOES NOT test us like some spoiled child with an ant farm and a magnifying glass. The only good a god like that does is scare the money out of you.

You're so caught up in following the devil you feel that you can't pull yourself out of what feels so good. God will forgive you no matter how bad you could've been. Why i think your problems are going from bad to worse is, because the devil got you to an all time high. When you reached there, he ditched you for someone else! The devil is discouraging you and that's why you find it hard to make that first step! But remember, nothing is impossible for God! He's holding you by the hands is ready to pull you back up and become His child aggain! You're feeling like that because you're missing Jesus, and He wants you back in His flock; say this simple prayer for becoming God's child again---->

Heavely Father, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness,
I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I am willing to turn away from my sin and live a godly life. I now invite Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Saviour. I am willing, with God's help, from this day forward to follow Christ as Lord of my life.
In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen"

And don't let anyone discourage you from this day on! Jesus is always walking with you to pick you up if you fall down!

May God bless you richly for wanting to be His child again!
Peace

Saying the sinners prayer is easy. You are simply saying that you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and asking forgiveness of all past sins.

The hard part, is trusting. Trust that God will get us through the next hurdle, whatever it may be. We all fall short of that. We are so consumed with trying to do things ourselves every day, we tend to forget God has a great deal to do with why we are here in the first place.

Trust in Him. Always trust. You are in my prayers. God Bless

Yes Carlito, I will pray that God will give you the faith to believe. Its imperative that you don't focus inward on your feelings waiting for the right feeling to come. If you do this it probably won't. Focus outward on Christ; not on some person in a page in a book, but the real Christ who you really feel knocking at the door of your heart. Yes, God is calling you. How do I know this? Because the Bible says that noone seeks for God. That means, if you want to come to Him, its because His Holy Spirit is drawing you; it starts with Him, not you. Therefore, focus on Christ. Turn your eyes upon Him and since I think you already believe, now simply come as a child. Put your confidence in Him. Say, Lord, I'm giving my whole self to you. I'm giving you my doubts, my fears, and I'm trusting You that You will save me. Remember that God wanted to save us enough to send His Son to be tortured and die for us. After all of that, would He neglect to save one who is willing to accept that sacrifice. Never! All who call on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED! God cannot lie. Now, trust Him, the same way a small babe trusts his father's strong arms, rest in His. Remember, its not based on feelings, but on the fact that He will keep His word. May God bless you.

Dear Carlito, Im glad your thinking about the things of God and the neccesity of salvation, but I want to make sure you understand more cleary the need for salvation, why its a neccesity and How we can receive this salvation. let me ask you a few questions.............

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the BIble says "He who hates his brother is a murderer." (1 John). Have you ever hated someone? if you have said yes to these three questions, by your own admission your a lying theiving adulterous murderer at heart and thats How God sees you and you will have to face HIm on the day of Judgement. The Bible says the penalty for yur sin is death and an eternity in Hell. The fact we could perish in hell should greatly concern us, but there is incredibly good news. God HImself sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, and If you will repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus, God will forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life. Please, before you lay your head down tonigh, get on your knees and confess and forsake your sins and trust in the Lord, he will never let you down.
God Bless

Accepting Christ and not becoming a backslider is always going to be hard. Not even the Pope himself is free of sin. We all sin. No one on this Earth is perfect. Hang in there. Keep praying and I'll do the same. Peace.

Sure.

Father, I pray for this man that you will help him to come into genuine relationship with you through faith in your Son, Jesus Christ, who died to pay the penalty for his sins & who was raised from the dead. Lord, may there be a gracious work of your Spirit in the heart of this man. Save him and transform him in such a dramatic fashion that your awesome name will be glorified as those around him see the powerful work which you have done.

Father, please deliver him from those powers of evil that would seek to keep him from coming to salvation. Lord, we look to you - an all - knowing, all - powerful God of grace & mercy to not only save but keep this man until the day when he appears in your eternal kingdom. For your glory, Father. May we love you and praise your name.

In Jesus name. Amen.

The first step can be found at 2wtl.
Take the first step, the other stuff will fall into place if you study God's Word, pray and associate yourself with a Bible believing assembly of believers.
I will pray for you Carlito.
