the other day at the end of school I was walking back to my car so I could go home. When I was on the sidewalk, I noticed that a girl came onto the sidewalk in front of me and crossed my path. I didn't really think anything of it until she started to look at me. And since it is one's reflexes to look back at someone when they are looking at you, I looked at her and noticed she was very pretty (and she probably noticed that I was checking her out). I looked back and noticed that she was looking at me again. Once she gets off the sidewalk and walks a little ways, she says "bye" (remember, ive never seen this girl before). Since I thought she was talking to someone behind me, and since i didnt want to be late for work I kept on walking. I looked back about 10 seconds later and noticed that no one was behind me.
what are the chances that an encounter like this will happen again?
if the chances are pretty high, how should I handle the situation?

There are so many time we come up to someone and feel so comfortable with them that you just want to say some thing like do I know you but we do not and you just may think about this for a while. Next time this happens you really can't do a whole lot cause if you try to talk to some you just crossed there path they may think you are a nut but you need to have something ready to say next time. Like ask them if they know where a store is and just start a conversation with them

Well u kinda know that is probably that the girl could be only in your mind, and if she was real... where do you live? cause if u live in new york you'll never seen her again. But if u live in a smaller state u can try figuring out what she was doing at the time you saw her, if she was a student, or visiting someone... u know, come on think and put the puzzle back together.

Guys! You all are killing me with these Encounter questions.
Listen up. If a girl or guy appears to be interested in you, you have nothing to lose by letting them know you are interested as well! If you don't...the good ones may get away. Go for it guys!

Sounds like she was interested in you, perhaps she has seen you before even if you have never noticed her. Next time you see her say hello. Chances are is she's interested she will 'run' into you again...

Man.... that was bad...
If a Girl stares at me for more than 5 seconds... I walk up to her and talk to her. If she looked at you twice it's because she liked what she saw. Man, don't ever lose an opportunity like that again...
Good Luck...

Chances are high that it will. Look longer, smile longer, when you feel more confident say more than hi or bye.

You'll probably spend the rest of your life wondering...unless she knows who you are already, Then you just might get another shot at it...
