Bengal cats are affectionate, loving, intelligent, active & sometimes almost dog like in their behaviour. They like to play fetch, chew bones, go for walks & play with you. They can be naughty when they are bored ... opening cupboards & fridge doors & rampaging through the contents, sinking teeth into anything that looks like it might be edible. Mine have just learnt that if you bite a plastic milk carton then it leaks & you can drink the milk,

Bengals have a tendency to play with water, like drinking from the tap & from the toilet if you forget to put the lid down. They paw the top of their water bowl before drinking - almost as if they have to brush leaves out of the way. They'll sometimes join you in the shower & enjoy watching you bathe from the side of the bath. They like to be with you at all times & complain loudly if shut outside a room.

They are atheletic & can jump very high (ground to top of door frame) They sometimes use their front paws to grasp things as well as claw at them ... one of mine will attempt to hold a spoon.

Some will cuddle on your lap & purr loudly, whilst others prefer to sit near you & smile with their eyes. They can be quite talkative & always reply when you speak to them.

I don't have any personal experiences of Manx cats but this website
http://www.manx--cats.com/manx_cat_breed.htm
says:

"The Manx is a huggable, lovable imp with a silken purr, an almost inaudible meow and a naughty twinkle in its eye. It spends every waking moment investigating its world.

A Manx will gravitate to the center of your home and insist upon being one of the family. It possesses an uncanny ability to adapt itself to the psychological needs of its people. In a home with children who have been taught gentle animal care, they are often found in the children's playroom, actively supervising the movement of dump trucks and doll carriages.

This breed is definitely not for anyone who wants a beautiful, feline house ornament. While a Manx can fulfill the beauty requirement, it will never be content to serve as a doorstop or a window decoration."

Bengal Cat Personality

Bengal cat's personality:

Confident, outgoing, friendly, the list goes on. What is important is what a Bengal is not. They are not aloof, not skittish, not "to themselves". I've maintained that a Bengal is a man's pet because a Bengal is more like a dog than a cat. Really. For instance, because of their heritage, Bengals are not afraid of water. Most like to play in it. Leave the shower door open and soon your Bengal will wander in. Bengals will fetch with the right tactic. Once you find a favorite toy, toss it. Then reward with a kind repetitious word and treat. Bengals use their paws like hands quite often. They cradle their toys on their chests and hide them from other pets. Needless to say, Bengals are intelligent.

personality of the Manx:

Manx are the perfect dog for people who dislike canines. This cat attaches itself to its family, often avoiding strangers who come to the home. They are quiet and loving, but generally not pushy like many other breeds. Most are avid fetchers if given the chance and water play is not uncommon. If you are looking for an "in your face" cat, this breed may not be for you. Nobody's fool once adulthood is reached, a Manx prefers to be your friend not your entertainment. A totally class act!

Hi Alfonso...Bengals tend to change grow a lot in their first year so with mixed breeding it may be the same as a full pedigree Bengal or slightly larger. However, Manx cats vary in sizes so your Bengal mix may or may not be larger than the typical domestic cat. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful pet regardless of breed, size and markings since they love us equally unconditionally.

I'm not sure about the manx, but I have three bengals, so I can answer that part. Females are very squirrelly and won't stay on your bed for a long time. Males are slow-going and affectionate, but not as smart as the females. I find them very different from my 13 year old ragdoll!

Bengals are more "playful" more dominant.. and apt to be more destructive especially if their needs for activity are not met
Manx do not have "personality" differences however they do have behavioral differences... becuase the gene responsible for shortening of their tails (some have full tails, some short, some none) they tend to have spinal issues that make them hop or walk funny.. and often they have bowel problems
