when i let my hair grow natural it took about 8-9 months before the perm came out, but i had to cut the ends-because the perm was still there. The fastest way is to get braids or cornrows, because for a couple of months the braids are in your hair and you will get a lot of new growth, it helped me.

there are ways to make it better.
1. wash it every day and blow dry it straight. it will take a little while but it will happen eventually.
2. you could roll it in big rollers to take the fro-ishness out of it.
3. you could get another perm to straighten it, but could risk damaging your hair. i'd go with the first two options. good luck
