Tail docking is done when the dog is three to five days old.
Any time after that it can be done but is considered major surgery and the dog has to be put under general anestesia like for a spay or neuter.

i think it's too late because all the nerves are grown as well as the bone... ask the vet...
the dog will still wag his tail though.... but some say that they need their tail for stability reasons and to walk straight... my boyfriend had his dogs tail docked at the age of 2 months old. he is doing great now

na, shouldnt b a problem. You should do it before 6 months so, um yeah your pup is in perfect age limit to dock there tails. It hurts and should be done at or a week after birth but your pup should be ok, what breed is it.

unfortunately the tail can't be "cut", or docked, if it is more than 3 to 5 days old.

I'm opposed to cropping for humane reasons.
Dogs enjoy wagging their tails, too.
Consider leaving the tail intact, please.

What a maroon........
Tails are ***DOCKED*** at DAYS old!!!!!
IF you are willing to PAY,have it done while the animal is being SPAYED/NEUTERED & remove the DEWS as well.
