Can-a-dew? Anybody ever eaten one of these? Looks like a cantelope outside but inside is honey dew melon?

I am leary of these hybrid fruits. It fooled us in the grocery store. Kind of tastes like rancid fruit. Has an acidy taste. We thought it was a cantelope.

Bought one over the summer. Did not like at all. Seemed watery with a slight sweet taste. True cantalope is much better for the price.

I have had honey-lope before and found it interesting if I had a love for melon I probably would have liked it but I don't, so I really didn't like it. I tried it to appease my father, who insisted that I eat some so I did taste it. I, also am leery of the hybrid fruits and vegetables out in the stores now why don't they make it taste like it used to taste good, instead of different.
