I am 5'3, bigger, and have a combination round/oval face. My hair is curly and brown. What haircut must I get? I can never get a good haircut, because in my area people aren't used to cutting curly hair. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. Also, my hair, when dry is at my shoulders.

Just try to contact professional hair stylists :) You may contact some for free in jurgita.com. i think their advices are much better than ours :) at least they have experience..

how much time do you spend on your hair now?
want to spend less or more time or the same?
what products do you use now? what products do you own right now? willing to change?
what kind of lifestyle do you have? parties once a week or at home with the kids? travel? homebody?
there's more to a haircut than cutting hair. anyone can cut hair - ask any 7 year old little girl. not everyone can come up with a hairstyle to fit your lifestyle.
for the basics, here you go:
oval is the 'universal' shape. this is the shape strived for. if you have a round face, then height on the top and flatter on the sides will create a more oval appearance. make sure to look at the style from the side view and the back view. (95% of the time people see you from behind. scary, but true.)

Try something new, something you've never done before. You'll feel just as traumatised at the hair salon anyways so why not.

cut it shorter with layers my firend who has hair just like you just had it done and she lookes fabules
