That begs the question as to whether there is a soul. Some atheists will say there isn't, some will say there is.
Buddhist atheists believe in a soul, an afterlife, and so on.
All being an atheist means is not believing in a god or gods. An atheist can believe in fairies, aliens, and souls - though admittedly, most don't. Even my fellow atheists seem to forget that from time to time.
I, for one, think a soul is entirely a creation of the brain which dies along with the body.

I'm an atheist (dont beleive in any gods at all) & have been for a very long time, your assuming people beleive in the concept of a soul. Personally I dont beleive in a soul or an after life nor a heaven or hell either. I dont like organised religons much at all, they are the source of more wars, disputes, killings and hatred than the benefit they are supposed to bring people.
**being an atheist is probably alot more challenging than for those people who have an organised religeon. Why? because you have to really think for yourself about the moral & ethical choices you make in life and how they will impact upon others.
**Being an atheist doesnt mean I dont have values or principals that Iive my life by, doesnt mean I dont have a sense of right or wrong.
I beleive in the power of the super ego which is the wisest part of who we are. (sometimes people call this spirit or the spiritual self) I beleive that everything come's from & return's to the primal void from which all things are born and destroyed. We are born from the void and when we died we return to the void, the void is an exsistential reality and thats what most human beings cannot bear to face i.e. our own mortality. (its abit profound for a saturday afternoon but there you go!!).

you should probably define "soul."
If you mean it in a strictly religous sense, as in the soul that goes on to live in the afterlife, then I would say this:
Most theists believe that every person has a soul that can be saved or lost to hell. They should, at least, believe that atheists have souls that may be lost if they do not convert to another religion.
Atheists do not think of the soul in this sense, and would therefore believe that NOBODY has a soul, including themselves and other theists.
If, however, by soul you mean the capacity for compassion, love, etc. then yes, all people have souls, because all people have emotions.

As atheists don't believe in god a soul makes no
difference. First, you have to prove that there is a
soul then they will believe in whatever you say.

And what exactly is a soul? It is merely more of christian mythology. You state your question as if the idea of a soul is a certainty, which could not be further from the truth. So to answer your question, no I as an atheist do not have a soul. And neither do you!

I guess they must do, (lack a soul) it goes with the territory. Do you only get a soul if you are religious? Rather like getting points on your loyalty card when you shop at the supermarket? One free soul with every 1000 points. Bonus points for Jesus lovers every Thursday? Double points for communion! hey I could be on to a winner here. Must start My own Evangelical Church, there has to money in this!

I believe that God gave a soul to all creatures, the moment when they were conceived.
Therefore, whether religious or not, all human beings have a soul.
It is entirely up to the individual, whether he wants follow a faith.
Lastly, it is the soul that leaves the body, at the moment of death.

Depends who you are asking, but I think the general belief of Catholics (who are big on the idea of the soul). Is that all people have a soul.
I think there is also a Calvanist idea that only certain pre-destined people have the 'spark' that allows them to believe or accept God. This could be seen as the soul, I suppose.
But remember, lots of people change there minds about their beliefs throughout there lives. Do you think it is possible for a soul to just disappear and reappear like that? Personally, I think I can't know for a fact who has a soul and who doesn;t, but everybody has the potential to believe in and accept God. That is enough for me.
God Bless :)

Of course they do - all living beings have a soul or spirit. Without it there would be no being! Human beings are evolved souls/spirits from the spiritworld (Heaven). Just because someone doesn't believe doesn't mean it doesn't exist - this goes for anything.
