In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
In Matthew 21:21:
I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
Mark 11:24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
So, since no one has actually proved that all their prayers were answered, and I think there would be a great deal of media attention were something like moving mountains to occur, is it safe to assume that
a) there are no true believers in Christ
or...
b) the bible is lying to all the faithful believers
Which is it?

The problem is not with the Word of God, it is with our faith. It shows us just how little faith we really have when faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains and yet we can't. I have never know a Christian who views this scripture as a shortcoming in God, but rather a lacking in themselves.

I don't believe you can count all the miracles attributed to prayer, but here's one that happened to me.I was over seas in the military and my father was dying, they asked my mom to get me home as he didn't have long to live.He looked really bad, after visiting I went to the chapel in that hospital he was in and prayed to Jesus to heal him.the next day he started getting better and he went home week later.Prayer is one of the most important life supports we have .That was my mountain and he moved it!!!!!!

No. The point is that if you truly believe you have received it before you see it you will have it. All believers are true believers whatever they do, because their salvation is given to them by grace not by what they have done.

I mean no offense but I don't have to "prove" anything to you. God always answers my prayers. And it's not because I am so "true"...it is because He is so faithful.

God is our father. Just like your father..if you asked for something that would hurt you, you father would not give it to you. He would try to give you something that would benefit you. He does answer prayers but it might not be the way you want. It may be what is best for you.

Religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon.

Seems clear that if this is about faith, no one has quite enough.
It's a self-defeating thing.
And BrianK, *why* does this question not deserve an answer? Because *you* couldn't think of one?

i dont believe or disbelieve but i do believe the message means,be all you can be,,god(?) gave us choices,,he gave us the ability to do anything we with within the realms of human capabilities,,those who do believe in god atribute their happiness,wealth,self-worth to god and that is fine,,those gifts were given to be made the best of,,nobody is moving mountains,,the metaphore is to believe if you can,you should.and if you have faith in yourself and what you want to do,be,,you can achieve all,,if you choose not to use what you are capable of using,,it is not down to lack of faith,,it is lack of trying.
