Should i get a great Dane or a chiwawa?

It all depends on the space you have! A Great Dane may be a bit of a lazy dog, for such a large breed, but he's still going to need room to move, much longer walks, and will eat a heckuva lot more. The breed also has unfortunate health problems, and isn't long-lived. That being said, I still love them a lot! It's like having a sofa that thinks it belongs in your lap. If you can handle a big dog, Danes are wonderful. If nothing else, guys love them because they are very manly dogs, and very few muggers would mess with a woman with a Dane trotting next to her.

A Chihuahua has its own difficulties. As a small dog, you'll have to watch his nutrition and weight much more carefully. Even a weight change of a few ounces can affect a dog of that scale. Also, you can't just let him run around at a dog park, a Chihuahua is just too much like a little prey animal for many breeds. But, if you've got a small apartment like my old studio, a small dog like that is easier to deal with. You can probably give him enough exercise just playing inside.

well if you are use to growing up with big dogs I will say get a Great Dane. I grew up with big dogs and got a mini dachshund and couldn't stand him for a while because they're whiney, needy dogs, he is a sweet dog but too needy for my taste, small dogs always need to be held because your body heat keeps them warm or if you try to snuggle with your man there in your face not letting him touch you dogs, If you don't pay attention to them 24/7 they whine and jump up and down and act like they are practically dieing because you are not starring at them or touching them. So all I can say is think hard and long on a small dog, because they will change your life much greater than a large dog would.

My sister has a chihuahua and it is very yappy, annoying, and demanding. You need to care for a chihuahua every second of the day, and they hardly ever get house trained. The only reason chihuahuas will stop all this is if you get another chihuahua. And chihuahuas cost about $99.95 each. So unless you want to burn a hole in your pocket, get a Great Dane.

How did you decide to get one or the other of these two? LOL. Such a big difference in them...My suggestion is to go to the local animal shelter and play with the dogs there...Don't set out with one particular type in mind, but go see what one has a personality that compliments your own. You may find that you don't even think about the two breeds you have chosen to start with. Plus you can help save a pup that might not find a home otherwise!

I'd get both - that way you never have to regret not getting the other one & you get the best of both worlds.

I'd get them both at the same time or the Chihuahua first - then the size difference wouldn't be quite so bad - at least at first.

I'm presuming of course that you've read up about both breeds & have a lifestyle that will fit them, sufficient room & sufficient cash to pay for them initially & to feed & pay their vet bills for their entire lives.

Get the Great Dane because if you don't even know how to spell CHIHUAHUA - you mustn't know much about them.

Depends on what you prefer. The advantages of a Chihuahua are that they are small and you can carry them anywhere you go. Good luck.
