You could go for a booby or a lure like a cats whisker , however
I would still go for nymphs , buzzers, and damsels , rainbows
feed all year on them , go through your box you'll find a killer
pattern I' m sure . Tight lines.

Trout are a bit aggressive, which makes them go for anything that moves. In the absence of many bugs and flies that they eat all summer and autumn, they go for lure type flies that stand out.
In clear water, use a large black montana, with a green or orange head, or a fry imitation, my favourite is the cats whisker in green and white, iv had a fair few fish on these, fishing them in short pulls usually, and not too slow because its the aggression you are looking for. They snap at it even if they dont want to eat it, if you get it close to its nose. Good luck
