What does it mean when you refer to a woman as your lover?

My wife is my lover because she fulfill my every need in bed. She also fulfills my emotional needs as well. You can have sex with someone and it would not be the same as having a lover. The term lover should really be reserved for that special someone that really get your heart pumping.

The term "lover" is a term of endearment. Sex is not love, but rather a product of love. The word, when used in the context of a relationship of marriage means friend, equal partner and my support. Many confuse fascinations or physical attractions as love and thus refer to their mate as "lover." Truth is one cannot have a "lover" outside the bonds of matrimony. This is called SIN.

A lover means a lot 4 me.
Lover means the person to which u r completely dedicated. Her pleasure is everything and the best source to give me happiness.
