Chilren are more empathic, and take their emotional cues from the trusted people in their environment. For example, a kid is with its mother at the store, and a stranger starts talking to the mother: the mother is slightly incomfortable with the guy, but the kid senses mom's discomfort and has a more severe reaction (starts to cry or scream, struggles to move away, tries to get mom to go.)

Plus, kids do tend to like people also based on many other things. But kids are not better judges of character than adults, and if you depend on a kid to judge the character of all of those people you will be dealing with in your life, you're certain to come to a foul end.

We as adults make the same deductions but have more experience in de-cyphering all the signals. However they work more on instinct......& we get confused when we factor in our expectations/experience/etc......... They also jump to conclusions far more rapidly!

Children do it in an instant because they don't have as many preconceived notions about character. They judge solely on here and now.

they are not prejudiced, and very innocent. An adult may think someone's a better person that they are because they're attractive etc, a child wouldn't consider a persons attractiveness....
